Affordable Homes Projects

15 January 2021

We have been very busy over the last 12 months with a number of affordable housing projects for Paragon AH (PAH) and Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP). The schemes vary in scale from 4 to over 100 homes. We are working on over 250 homes in total, across a number of boroughs, including Elmbridge, Richmond, and Hounslow.

The schemes are 100% affordable housing with a mix of tenures: social rent and intermediate.  We are working with both operators on modern methods of construction. PAH and RHP are great to work with and share a passion for delivering the best quality housing.

End of Year Round Up

23 December 2020

2020 has been a very different year for MAA, however we have overcome the challenges faced by this unprecedented time, and transitioned smoothly to a more flexible working approach.  The team have been very successful in splitting their time between home working, and returning to the Boathouse, and we have welcomed new collaborative technologies into the practice.

Here are just a few of the fantastic projects we have been lucky enough to work on this year. We are looking forward to 2021!

20 November 2020

Congratulations to Konstantinos, Ben and Antoine for forging ever-onward in their architectural career...

Konstantinos has recently completed a Part 3 lecture series at The Bartlett, Ben has recently completed his Part 3 studies at the University of Bath, and is awaiting his professional registration, and Antoine has recently completed his Part 2 studies at the University of Nantes.

MAA and RHP Partnership

3 June 2020

MAA have been working with RHP to explore and develop affordable housing using modern methods of construction.

Our Simpson Road project was designed using IIke Homes volumetric system.  Working with IIke we achieved 9 affordable homes of 3 levels each, which were built in there factory as a module.  Each level was delivered to site and craned into place.  This enabled the erection of all 9 homes within 1 week, with a lead time in factory of approximately 4 months.

The volumetric system reduces construction waste, disruption and speeds up delivery.

We are taking a number of measures to ensure that our staff are safe and are able to provide the level of service you expect.  We have done this by enabling staff to work from home and have full access to our server.  We have also set up Microsoft Team and Zoom for remote workers to communicate with the office.  This will ensure continuity of work delivery for the foreseeable future.

Finally, may we wish you and your families well during these difficult times.

BNP Paribas Real Estate Achieves Leesman+ Excellence

17 February 2020

We provided workplace strategy and design for BNP Paribas Real Estate office refurbishment at Aldermanbury Square.

We carried out an in-depth analysis process to fully understand the business needs, working with a workplace psychologist to facilitate the ‘change management’ process. Acting on these key findings the MAA design team delivered a great looking workspace and more importantly, successfully satisfied the needs of BNPPRE to provide an environment that harnessed collaboration, activity based working and a pride in their ‘home’. And we achieved Leesman+ excellence for them. A great result for everyone.

TS Workplace joins MAA Architects

15 November 2019
