MAA were appointed to produce a Planning Application Enquiry for this exciting residential project in Wimbledon - responding to the need for modern, high quality, sustainable homes in London.

The proposals are two fold. Firstly, the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing buildings to form three new residential apartments. Secondly, a comprehensive infill development providing six new houses.

The ground floor plinth element is composed of traditional London brick, while the first floor pavilions are finished with timber cladding - lightening the feel of the first floor level. The roof shape of the proposed houses has been designed with dual pitches to reduce the overall mass of the first floor volume. This also increases views across and through the development for the neighbouring properties.

The proposal is as unique as it is universal at the same time, offering a bespoke solution to address the common problems attributed to separation distances, privacy, access and servicing, as well as available methods of construction, all of which are associated with urban infill sites.
