Orbital Developments came to MAA to design a mixed-use scheme for their site on Station Road, South Wimbledon.
The area is a mixture of industrial estates, terraced houses and contemporary buildings under construction. It sits on the boundary of the Wardle Valley Conservation Area, a historically industrial area which is home to Merton Abbey Mills, much of the area has, or continues, to be converted to new uses.
The scheme includes commercial space at ground floor, with nine four-and-five bedroom units across the upper floors. The design worked to respond to both the existing context and the adjacent projects coming through planning at the same time.
