Client Agenda Homes
Value £8 million

The project provides 37 apartments in an iconic new seaside apartment block with panoramic views over the English Channel.

Inspired by the modernism of the 1930s prevalent along the south coast, the scheme features undulating limestone ribbons that emphasise the horizontal connection the proposal has to its seaside neighbours, and also enclose the sea-facing balconies in a sweeping motion.

Comprising of primarily 2 and 3 bedrooms, the building steps in as it gains height, minimising its impact on its surroundings, and is in keeping both with the traditional residential streets to the north, and the seafront apartment blocks to either side.

MAA were appointed by Agenda Capital Partners to develop proposals for the residential development of a half seafront block in 2017. The practice worked on the scheme through various iterations with positive involvement from Hove Council and the local community, submitting a planning application in March 2018, which was approved via (virtual) appeal during Covid-19 lockdowns.

MAA’s client then sold the site onto Cayuga Homes, and this is where MAA’s involvement ended. Cayuga, in conjunction with Trinity Homes, realised the project - with clear attention to detail and high quality finishes. MAA are proud to have started the journey that Cayuga, Trinity Homes, their design and subcontractors have completed with aplomb - a graceful and elegant addition to the Hove seafront.
