MAA took this project through a complex planning process through Design & Build tender and novation to the main contractor, and the project was delivered on time and on budget.
The site acts as a transition between the high street buildings and the lower scale terraced houses on the side street. The scheme attracted interest from the local community, due to its historic leisure use. We undertook significant public consultation, stakeholder engagement, and incorporated a leisure element to the final scheme as a result of feedback received.
The scheme incorporates a Pure Gym at basement level, an M&S Foodhall at ground floor and 22 apartments over arranged around a podium garden.
